Hi everyone, 

My name is Vanessa Zammar, I grew up in Switzerland as a swiss-lebanese and have been living in Lebanon, Beirut since 2018. I am a feminist sociologist and activist, working on menstrual justice with a collective I co-founded in 2021: Jeyetna. We conduct awareness sessions - on the model of popular education during which we let the knowledge emerge from the group - across the country and with different communities and distribute every type of products available (disposable and reusable). Our core idea is to collectivise and politicise menstruation - away from the idea that it's an individual problem to be dealt in private. We do this online through our instagram page and website. While this experience has gotten me more confident in public speaking and the implementation of my political thought, I am looking forward to gain knowledge on practical skills related to facilitations of training as I have been focusing on the backstage, creating curriculum and designing sessions without implementing them myself.
